In this Rachel Maddow episode, Oklahoma’s new law that targets women and abortion providers for harassment and violence. No other similar laws are being passed that target men’s reproductive issues. No other laws are being passed that compromise men’s private and personal medical information.

The Republicans wish to revert to an era during which woman’s rights were subordinated to the desires of their husbands. The Christian Rights would remove women — except for those like Palin and her ilk — from the public sphere. They are similar in some ways to the Taliban in this respect.
The one good thing about this law is that I suspect it will never survive a federal challenge.

Except that it was Florida’s federal district court that upheld this ruling, as I am given to understand.

Oklahoma has its own federal district court system. How did a Florida federal district court come to hear a case arising in Oklahoma? I don’t understand where it could find the jurisdiction.
